The Calm and the Storm - 10 Knots to 35+ Knots In a Single Session - Dalemead Lake, AB
A beautiful afternoon turned into an intense wind storm in an afternoon/evening. I initially showed up when there was hardly any wind, rigged my 12m solo and foiled away. It slowly built over the afternoon until it was consistently white capping and I rigged my 7m RRD Emotion. A photographer stopped on the side of the road and got some great pictures, which is what I used for the cover thumbnail. I have now got the air gybes dialed. It is hard to remember how difficult these were just a couple of sessions ago. However, I have lots of work to do on my 360s both heelside and toeside. I had these pretty consistent with straps, but they were almost like a backroll. Riding strapless completely changes things.
