Why do I think there’s more than one species of Tyrannosaurus?
Long has T. rex reigned as the one and only species of “tyrant lizard”, but I would argue there’s good reason to suspect multiple kinds of Tyrannosaurus dwelled in Late Cretaceous North America. A new paper proposes two new species – the royal family may have just gotten bigger. My coauthor and our research team’s statistician Jay Van Raalte also has a video about the new paper.
