Sony FX3 (ILME-FX3) issues following firmware upgrade

Following the 2.0 firmware upgrade back in July I started to encounter various problems with the Sony FX3 (ILME-FX3) videocamera: - "System error" when mounting any lens to the camera body - Camera not turning on when switching the "Power on/off" button - Camera not detected when connected to the PC via USB After countless attempts I managed to fix the issues using a very simple procedure: I performed the settings reset, an action that can be found in the camera menu. The exact path to perform the came settings reset is: hit the "menu" button, then scroll down until the last yellow menu named "Setup", scroll down once again to access "Reset/Save Settings", then pick "Setting Reset" and finally, in the black screen that pops up just select "Initialize", which will reboot your camera and hopefully will fix the issues listed above. Considering that immediately after the 2.0 firmware upgrade the camera had no problem, then various issues appeared in the span of a few months, it could be that specific usage data gets collected, which may lead to the problems above. In case the camera will start to act weird again just repeat the settings reset and you should be good for several months. Of course, I expect Sony to release a mature firmware update to solve this bug, but in the meanwhile the workaround should fix your camera problems. At this point the camera works fine and I can only hope the solution will be permanent but I will do a follow up video in case anything else would arise. Do let me know if the same procedure fixed your camera issues. --------------- This is the link towards the 2.01 firmware update, that has been canceled by Sony: https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/interchangeable-lens-camcorders-ilme-series/ilme-fx3/software/00280262
