DOGS DON'T WEAR PANTS (2019) Film Review. A love letter to BDSM
Dogs Don't Wear Pants is an erotic dark comedy arthouse film from Finland. I believe this film will become a cult classic in years to come. I review offbeat gems and overlooked art house movies critically all day long and this is my Dogs Don't Wear Pants film review. Videos are filled with a comedy of errors, memes and references to pop culture while still encouraging intellectual discourse in film discussion. Films shouldn't be elitist, they should be fun! Dogs Don't Wear Pants, also known as Koirat eivät käytä housuja, is directed by Finnish director Jukka-Pekka Valkeapää. A great lesson in film coloring, cinematography and camerwork, Dogs Don't Wear Pants is headed to become a cult classic that I believe it will become. In this video, I discuss how Dogs Don't Wear Pants embraces BDSM's negative stereotypes and refuses to normalize BDSM. Yet, despite all that, the film truly loves BDSM which creates an interesting narrative. Dogs Don't Wear Pants uses motifs that break down whole and normal ideas, and showing how even if these ideas are completely denormalized; they can be put back together. Perhaps they won't look perfect, but they will definitely look extremely beautiful. Both Krista Kosonen and Pekka Strang are immaculate actors in Dogs Don't Wear Pants and they provide a beautiful love story in a dark fairy tale structure. This film, despite its negative stereotypes, is a love letter to BDSM but it understands that its through some of the negativity, you can find that connection, trust and relationship that all humans try to find Check my Socials Out!
