Subject : English Language Theme : Simple Present and Present Continuous Tense Teacher : Miss Sadaf Naz INTRODUCTION This video lesson teaches the learner tense of the verb, define and identify the present tense of a verb , learn the rules to form present tense and present continuous tense. Tense The tense of a verb shows the time of an action. It tells us when the action takes place.There are three main tenses present tense , past tense , future tense. Present tense: Present tense further divided into four types. Simple present tense Present continuous tense Present perfect tense Present perfect continuous tense Simple Present Tense: It is used to describe our regular action, things that are always true, For expressing our thoughts and feelings and natural qualities. In simple present tense we generally use the base form of the verb however when we refer to the third person singular subject(he, she, it) we add s-or es- to the base form of the verb. Present Continuous Tense: It is used to describe our continued or on going action.
