Tornadoes of April 27, 2011: The Cullman-Arab, AL EF4

The EF4 tornado which tracked through Cullman, AL on April 27, 2011 is most remembered for having an exceptionally strange multivortex structure and devastating the city of 15,000. However, the storm went on far longer after that, morphing into a half-mile-wide monster and leaving a path of destruction in its wake. The tornado touched down at 2:40 p.m. CDT (19:40 UTC) on April 27 and tracked a 47-mile (76 km) damage path through Cullman, Morgan, and Marshall Counties, causing six deaths.
