Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order - Form II Makashi - Malicos - No Damage Jedi Grandmaster
Form II Makashi: https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Form_II/Legends Malicos is probably the hardest boss to use Makashi on. Using lots of precision dodging and not laying on the pressure means the fight gets extended quite a bit, meaning more time to mess up. Added to that is the fact that he has the longest combos in the game, and there's very little room for error. This took me about a hundred or so tries to accomplish. You will need to memorize his combos to beat him like this. He has a lot of them, many of which come out near-instantly, so keep your thumb over the evade button. His combos also get extended at around 2/3s health, so watch for him to suddenly start chaining where he didn't before. General Tips: 1. After getting parried by Malicos, I like to tap dodge once before going for an evade, as it helps with the timing of his over-the-left-shoulder swing, which comes out very, very quickly. If he doesn't do it, you can wait a bit, and then evade after your backstep. 2. After breaking his posture, don't immediately attack, as this can launch him back on the first swing. Instead, move forward a little to reset the character's animation, and then attack for three full hits. 3. His overhead "x cut" he does in the middle of certain combos must be parried, or blocked. Sometimes, when you precision evade, it can still clip you, creating a lot of inconsistency. If you precision evade it, there's often still time to parry if you tap the button right away. If nothing gets parried, you can simply continue precision evading the rest of the combo. 4. If he backpedals, and throws one lightsaber in the air, you know he's entered his second phase where his combos are now extended. If he hasn't done that, and you've started getting him towards 2/3rds health, anticipate that his combos will extend. 5. If he drags his lightsabers across the ground, he will often (but not always) go for a rare combo indicated by a run-up, and a side swipe with both lightsabers. I haven't learned this combo myself, since he rarely pulls it out, but watch for it.
