Climbing Mount Ararat Summit 5137m | Agri Mountain Expedition 2022

I climbed Mount Ararat and reached the summit 5137m. In this video, I am explaining all the processes and required equipment to climb Mt Ararat. In summary, it took us 5 days to climb the top. We went to the mountain from the nearest city (Dogubeyazit district of Agri city). We stayed 2 nights at 3200m Base Camp 1. Then, we stayed for 1 night at 4200m Base Camp 2. Then, we climbed the summit and then headed back to 3200m Base Camp 1 and stayed there for 1 more night. You can find detailed information of each step below: Section 1: Staying at Doğubeyazıt - Doğubeyazit is the nearest city to Mt Agri (Mt Ararat). You can arrive the city by bus from Agri Airport or Igdir Airport. - There are plenty of supermarkets and hotels. We stayed here for one night at Kenan Hotel. - The next day, we took bus to go to the Cevirme Village (a village at the foot of Mt Ararat) Section 2: Cevirme Village (Foot of Mt Ararat) - This is the village that is located at the foot of Mt Ararat - We went there by shuttle bus - The horses and mules took our equipment and we climbed to first base camp at 3200m Section 3: First Base Camp (3200m) - After 4 hours of hiking from Cevirme Village, we came to the first base camp - We pitched our tent, have a dinner and enjoyed the sunset - There is water at this base camp and some toilets Section 4: Second Base Camp (4200m) - We went to this base camp twice: First, in the second day to make our body adjust to the high altitude. Second, in the third day to prepare for the summit climb. - We pitched our tent on the third day, slept until 12.30am and we started our climb to summit at 01.00am. - There is no water, nor toilets at this base camp. Section 5: Climbing to the Summit - We started our climg at 01.00am from the second base camp. - We climbed for 4 hours in the dark. Then, we reached the ice zone and we used our ice cleats to walk on ice. - It took us apprx 7 hours to reach the summit. It was around 9am when we were at the summit. Section 6: At the Top 5137m - It is quite windy here and it is very cold - We enjoyed the view, took photos - There is plenty of room there.
