084: earth & plants for the 1/50 16.5mm VINEYARD railway tile (ep4)
Howz'it, I'm Kev I'm making another O-scale narrow-gauge railway tile (O-16.5). This time the theme is VINEYARD. I tried the Life-Like brand's "earth" last time, but I didn't like it for the current project. So I resorted to my regular tile grout instead, and it came out great. The tile grout with the slight hint of the "earth" showing through looked really good. I really should buy a few more colours of tile grout - but it's sold in such large quantities, maybe that'd be a waste. After getting the ground looking good, I then focused on plants, using my homemade ground foam, the woodlands scenics Course Turf I'd been given free, and teezed out Brilo Pads. Maybe the result is a bit too green & lush for a sun drenched vineyard - not sure. Either way, everything's now ready for me now to focus on the main event, the grapevines.
