GTA 3: The Triads only attack you if you drive the stretch (bonus clip)

This happens during the mission Salvatore's Called a Meeting. The triads that guard the entrance to salvatores mansion aren't hostile to you if you arrive on foot or by any other car than the mission specific stretch.
