EV Ship Plug Porting Tutorial, Part 1
This is my long-promised tutorial on how to port ship plug-ins from Escape Velocity Classic to Escape Velocity Nova, at least in Windows. Admittedly, this involves some rare software (EV-Edit), and a classic Mac (Basilisk would be theoretically possible, but very challenging). In this tutorial I port the Astex Interceptor, although as you'll see on my desktop I'm trying to port as much of Escape Velocity Classic as possible. Although the Interceptor is also included (if I'm not mistaken) in the Astex plug-in, I actually got it from a compilation known as Merger, which I subsequently combined with the Maskirovka and Vorinth plug-ins, plus some others including my own, to build an even larger plug-in called Consolidation. Version 2.5 of Consolidation is still a work in progress, so I may do further tutorials about where it's heading. In the meantime, enjoy this one!
