Trouble connecting Lenovo laptop to HP monitors via ThinkPad hub
Every morning at the office, when I booted up my laptop (Lenovo Yoga) and monitors (HP VH240a), the monitors would flicker, I’d hear that “connected” sound, then I’d hear the “disconnected” sound, and the monitors would go to sleep. After removing and reinserting the power+data cable into the corresponding USB-C port (2nd one from the back on my machine) several times, the monitors would eventually turn on. Oftentimes, I’d also have to open the laptop, then remove and reinsert the cable plug multiple times. Sometimes it took powering the monitors on and off as well.
