Can Resident Evil 8 run at 60 FPS on the M1 MacBook Air?
Hey guys, Can Resident Evil 8 perform at 60fps on the base model M1 MacBook Air? Well, it can't :( It's just too much for the system. You're better off setting the frame rate cap at 30 FPS. As you can see in the video, at the given settings, experience is poor, delivering a choppy experience with stuttering and hiccups. In addition, thermal throttling reduces core frequencies which still doesn't prevent the system from reaching well over 90ºC. I highly recommend against playing like this since you will cause premature damage to your components, specially the battery. However, you gan still play this game comfortably at 1080p 30fps and enjoy it, even on your M1 MacBook Air.
