NS2 Game 12 : Alien comm on ns_caged
Crazy fight on ns_caged. We were struggling early, with marines limiting us to just 2 or 3 harvesters for the first 8 minutes. Marines had one serious push on our ventilation hive, but seemed more content to just win the fights at central and shipping tunnels for most of the game rather than rushing in to deal the final blow. This let us slowly build up p-res to the point we could afford a few onos, and that really changed the tide. We managed to get a few sneaky tunnels near their base and forced a few beacons, which helped us establish more territory and get some breathing room. Got to 8 biomass on the two hives, which is all we had for the entire game. Shift first followed by shade second. Even managed to overcome the Debbie doubters on our team who were more interested in conceding and starting anew rather than battling through it. Marines had 309 kills to 171 deaths; the kill graph was pretty obscene. But none of that mattered in the end!
