MacBook Pro 2013 vs MacBook Pro 2015 - speed test, boot time, SSD
I'm comparing a MacBook Pro (Early 2013) running High Sierra and all the app's installed over the last years vs a MacBook Pro (Mid 2015) running a Time Machine Backup from the 2013 version, restore on Mac OS Mojave. So I have the same app's and data on both MacBook's. Sadly I had only power connected on the MBP 2015. To prevent a re-record of the video and editing, I tested afterwards with and without power connected. There was no difference in boot time. Please excuse for any inconvenience. MBP 2013: * 2,4 Ghz (i7-3635QM, Ivy Bridge) * 512 GB SSD (Mini-SATA III, 6 Gbit/s) * 16 GB RAM * High Sierra (10.13.6) MBP 2015 * 2,8 Ghz (i7-4980HQ, Haswell) * 1024 GB SSD (PCIe 3.0, 31.5 Gbit/s) * 16 GB * Mojave (10.14.3) Disclaimer: All tests are made for my private interest, without any guarantee of correctness. I just filmed the booting and created a split-screen video for people who are interested in upgrading.
