http://laurasilvaquesada.com/ I would definitely use the Mirror of the Mind technique together with mental rehearsal and the Three Fingers technique. The Mirror of the Mind is an excellent tool for one major reason. It transforms the present, be it a problem and/or situation into a desired, positive future. If in the present you have a problem, then in the future your desire is to have no problem. If in the present you have a certain condition like excess weight, then in the future your desire is to have an ideal weight. If in the present you have little belief in yourself, then in the future you have a high self-esteem and belief in yourself. The Mirror of the Mind technique uses visualization, imagination and mental rehearsal. Visualization is always used to acknowledge the present or existing situation. Imagination is always used to create and experience the future or desired outcome. And mental rehearsal is used to experience your “future you” as you desire it to be…problem free, less weight or a higher self-esteem and level of belief in you. And the Three Fingers technique is used to lock in the experience of achievement. To use the Mirror of the Mind technique, you simply need to enter a meditative state and once there, you visualize on your mental screen a full-length mirror. This mirror will be known as the mirror of the mind. Now, the mirror of the mind can be mentally increased in size to encompass within its frame a thing or things, a person or persons, a small scene, or a large scene. The color of a frame of a Mirror of the Mind can be mentally changed from blue to white. The blue frame denotes the present, existing situation, or problem. The white framed mirror denotes the solution or goal. To solve a problem or reach your goal with the Mirror of the Mind, you simply project and visualize the present situation unto the blue-framed Mirror of the Mind to make a good study of it. You don't have to spend too much time in the blue frame going over the problem but do be honest with yourself. Be clear about what the problem is, what caused it, or how you got into that situation because it's going to help define your starting point. The blue-framed Mirror of the Mind is going to be in the center of your mental screen. Once you make a good study of the problem you erase the problem image, you move the mirror towards the left and as you do, you change the frame's color to white and then you project a solution image or a goal image onto the white-framed Mirror of the Mind. Then, in whatever way feels comfortable to you, step into the outcome image and be one with it. Once in the outcome image, experience it fully with all of your mental senses, as if you are actually there, and allow your body, brain and mind to memorize how it feels to believe in yourself. Experience your achievement and when it feels just right, press your thumb, pointer finger and ring finger together, and say to yourself mentally, “Whenever I have a need or desire to think, feel, believe or behave this way, all I need to do is press my three fingers together and it will be so.” The three fingers technique helps you lock in the feeling of achievement so whenever you feel even the slightest bit of doubt setting in, you can immediately do away with it by pressing your three fingers together and focusing on the feeling of achievement instead. From then on, any time you happen to think of the project visualize the solution image or the desired outcome that you have created framed in white. In following meditations, you never go back to the blue frame. You only focus all of your energy and your time on mentally experiencing the outcome. Of how wonderful it feels to truly believe in yourself. I hope this helps.
