I am switching to 16GB M1 MacBook Air over 8GB. In sufficient memory for LR classic RAW HDR
Base M1 MacBook Air is phenomenal, excellent for multi tasking, browsing, streaming, creating spreadsheets and some content creating too. That being said, I personally feel 16GB is better option for me considering I plan to keep use it for 4 years or so, and applications tend to get memory intensive as time passes. Additionally I feel 8Gb is not enough for Lightroom classic, especially for image stacking, creating HDRs. 8GB being shared memory GPU might under perform in certain cases.
