Children's Tumor Foundation Rare Disease Month Lunch & Learn
Drug Development company Charles River invited the Children's Tumor Foundation to host this Lunch & Learn for Rare Disease Month to their employees. CTF Chief Scientific Officer Salvatore LaRosa, PhD spoke about CTF's research initiatives, followed by a panel of NF patients who shared their experiences with NF and how their involvement with CTF has made a difference in their lives. Patient panelists included Brianna Worden, Cole Harrell, and Bill Riter. Charles River is promoting "Employee Sabbatical" opportunities with CTF to their staff who have been there three years or more. These sabbatical projects will help CTF with several key objectives: 1. Expand research: help CTF double the number of grant submissions received 2. Identify new grant opportunities: from federal aid to family funds, help CTF scout opportunities 3. Expand the NF Registry: help CTF find the right strategies to increase the number of participants What is the Children's Tumor Foundation?
