Ford 6.9 diesel 3g alternator swap
Sorry for this video being all over the place and not making much sence at the beginning. This was dragged out through the whole month I was gone. But this is the ford 3g alternator swap that can be done on most older fords. The 1g alternator will get you by, but if you have high power planes, ( winch, lights, stereo system) it wont do it. it doesnt put out much power and needs high rpms to do it. This is where the 3g swap comes in. the large case 3g does 130 amps, and can do most of it at idle. This is because it was made for all the eletroics for a mid 90s taurus. So for your diesel or what ever, it means you can have reliable power at idle and so on. and be able to do more then just the basics. This was way easier then i thought it was, and its worth it!
