I give the bobbies some alcohol to distract them from the apple tree for a minute. They make an attempt to detain me but are unsuccessful. I make my way to the mushroom log to listen to some lovers talk before realizing I'll have to return the next night. After getting some inventory management done and a good night's rest I go back only to find the quest requires I return yet again.
