Path of Exile - Blight League - Summon Zombie and Skeleton Gem Overhaul Info
A couple of hours before this video went live, level 20 0% quality gem information was teased for Summon Skeletons and Summon Zombie. Being able to spend less time summoning them is a big deal, we go from 1 skeleton per 500ms to 1 per 167ms of active spellcasting (baseline - you can do better). We don't know what will happen to the threshold jewel (Skeleton Mages) or to the From Dust unique jewel, time will tell there. - Maximum damage potential was already high for skeletons. It's getting higher. - Full conversion to elemental damage or even chaos is now possible with the Triad Grip unique gloves https://i.imgur.com/EPXMjVo.png which provides more ways to scale skeleton damage into the stratosphere. - Skeletons did not get the physical tag. No Cold Iron Point shenanigans here, sorry. - Zombies have a much higher damage ceiling - Minion builds should be more viable outside the Necromancer ascendancy. Where powerful nodes (Bone Sculptor for skeletons, Flesh Binder for Zombies) were previously absolutely required for these minion classes to function, some of those 'mandatory' effects are being rolled into the gems themselves. I assume those nodes will remain compelling choices but they will no longer be absolutely mandatory.
