Outfit Studio 23: Finalize Tutorial NIFs
In this video, we will be using NifSkope to optimize three NIFs that we have been working on in the previous tutorial videos - the pouchless archmage robes, the new gemmed amulet we made, and the pouches we separated out from the archmage robes. This is the last step before we start putting these NIFs into Skyrim. If you have been following along with the tutorials and have created these meshes with me, you can do these optimizations right alongside this video. If not, you might still find this session useful to get an idea of how you can finalize your NIFs in NifSkope. Refer to Video #22 for a more detailed walkthrough of various ways you can check, tweak and fix your NIFs using this powerful tool. Because this video is intended for users who may still be a bit new to using NifSkope, I will be going slow and explaining in detail. There is a companion mod for this tutorial series called “Simply for Practice” on the Nexus. Download, install, and activate it as you would any other mod. Optimize and re-partition new pouches 23:46 Wrap Up ***CORRECTION*** Apologies for any confusion this causes - at 14:17, where I am entering in numerical values for red, green and blue for the emissive color, you should write down whatever values are in your own NIF (which probably won’t be the same as the ones in the video). Enter YOUR values in the other size NIF to make sure they match. *RESOURCES:* 1. Demo mod for tutorial series: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/93678 2.
