The BIGGEST Animals in the World!

What are some of the biggest animals walking around of each species? Have you heard about the crocodile that was nearly 21 feet long that was caught in the Philippines? Maybe you’re wondering what’s the largest domestic cat on record?! Find about about both of these animals and other species in this video! Subscribe to Pablito’s Way Animals! https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCmgzXK-DAc5SOfOPxc8fc0A?sub_confirmation=1 In no particular order, here are a few of the biggest animals ever! 10 - Biggest Great White Shark It’s no secret that Great White Sharks are absolutely huge. On average, males grow up to at least 13 feet long with females growing up to 16 feet long. Any great white shark you see will weigh anywhere between fifteen hundred and four thousand pounds! Thousands of pounds and razor sharp teeth? Ayyyyeeeee In recent years, experts believe the largest shark on record was caught on camera. Mauricio Hoyos Padilla, a shark expert and filmmaker, captured footage of a 50-year old female great white known as Deep Blue back in 2013. Measuring TWENTY feet long, Deep Blue was pregnant at the time, which made her look even bigger. Padilla wrote on his blog that he figured her to be at least 50 years old. In some of the footage, Padilla is seen engaging Deep Blue in a high five….sort of. He told Livescience he was really just trying to protect her from his tank. He’s also shown tagging her which is a way for him and other researchers to monitor the movement and general activity of sharks. 9 - Biggest Snakes Ever In terms of the biggest snakes on record, there are basically two schools of thought. On one hand, the longest snake ever recorded was a 33 feet long python. Discovered in 2016 near a construction site in Brazil, this huge snake was found lurking in a cave when construction workers blasted an opening to build a dam. Some pretty incredible footage shows it being chained to a crane and lifted up, an action conservationists and animal rights activists have criticized. And then there was an Anaconda that was reportedly 28 feet long. Now, you do the math, 28 is less than 33. But hold up. We didn’t mention that the anaconda had a girth of 44 inches! That anaconda was the largest snake ever recorded using that particular metric. It’s estimated that she weighed at least 500 pounds. Now, let’s up the ante here a bit. In 2008, a group of scientists found the remains of what’s believed the be the biggest snake to have ever lived. Deep in a Colombian coal mine, scientists found fossil remains of a FORTY THREE FEET long snake that lived millions of years ago that possibly weighed around twenty five hundred pounds. Known as Titanoboa, this snake likely could have probably battled any creature that roamed that part of the earth. Such as crocodiles. 8 - Biggest Catfish For those of you unfamiliar with fishing, you might be surprised to learn how large catfish can become. Take, for example, this catfish that was caught in northern Thailand. Measuring close to nine feet long and weighing around 646 pounds, it’s believed to be the biggest catfish on record. The Mekong Giant Catfish was wrangled in by a group of fisherman who struggled for more than an hour with the giant catfish. According to National Geographic, this species of catfish is listed as critically endangered, so the fishermen tried to keep it alive in order to breed it. However it died, so they just cooked it and fed it to the villagers instead….true story. As anyone who has ever eaten catfish will attest, it’s actually quite tasty, so it’s a good thing this giant catfish helped to feed a ton of people!
