🇮🇹 FULL JOURNEY | Rome Metro line C: San Giovanni ➔ Monti Compatri - Pantano
At long last, I have filmed the entire metro line of something I've been wanting to do for quite a while! Rome Metro Line C (Metropolitana di Roma linea C) is a 19.5 km (12.1 miles) long metro line, connecting the eastern suburbs (Pantano, Grotte Celoni, Torre Angela etc.) with the edge of the city centre. Its eastern terminus is Monti Compatri/Pantano and the western terminus is San Giovanni. This line is the newest (and also the only driverless metro line), having opened in 2014 from Monti Compatri/Pantano to Parco di Centocelle, 2015 from Parco di Centocelle to Lodi and finally 2018 from Lodi to San Giovanni. A further extension is planned to be opened in 2023 or 2024 from San Giovanni to Venezia. There are currently 22 stations, which are as follows: 1. San Giovanni 00:08 2. Lodi 00:49 3. Pigneto 01:59 4. Malatesta 03:10 5. Teano 04:21 6. Gardenie 05:36 7. Mirti 07:00 8. Parco di Centocelle 07:54 9. Alessandrino 09:26 10. Torre Spaccata 10:33 11. Torre Maura 11:51 12. Giardinetti 13:20 13. Torrenova 14:18 14. Torre Angela 15:36 15. Torre Gaia 17:53 16. Grotte Celoni 19:22 17. Fontana Candida - Due Leoni 20:58 18. Borghesiana 22:20 19. Bolognetta 23:41 20. Finocchio 24:48 21. Graniti 27:18 22. Monti Compatri - Pantano 32:02 My opinion: 7/10. The section between Giardinetti and Torrenova, but particularly between Graniti and Monti Compatri-Pantano, can get some decent amount of scenery with nice views of the mountain (Monti Prenestini). Apologies for the phone falling in some sections. Unfortunately, the distance between the front seat and the front window was too large which made holding it with hands pretty difficult, and when I tried to do it hands free, my phone kept falling as soon as the train picked up some speed.
