(second monitor comes on 15 seconds after the first one.) installed lastest updates for apple no problem. Installed Adobe CC no problem (had to use Safari for installer Google Chrome wasn't allowing the installer to launch) First problems I didnt have RAM installed in proper channel (the one closest to the CPU) and had GTX 960 GPU installed The install loader bar would only go 1/8 of the way and then freeze. Then followed spballer thread as he has a somewhat similar motherboard and graphics card http://www.tonymacx86.com/user-builds/149666-success-spballers-build-ga-z97x-gaming-gt-i7-4790k-nvidia-geforce-gtx-970-sc.html First installed Yosemite then read further on spballer thread to use DTTS-free from Multibeast. This failed for me and I got the power up loop when restarting. I should have used Easybeast as spballer kept mentioning. So I was able to install Yosimite and Multibeast without the graphics card installed following his instructions with EasyBeast. I downloaded Carbon Copy Cloner and made a Clone of the drive since I was this far. I didn't want to loose any advancement I made before trying to install the GTX 960. Downloaded th Nvidea web drivers and for the cuda support installed as per spballer instructions using nv_disable=0 to get to the Yosemite desktop still using teh internal 4600 onboard graphics. So tried switching to the GTX 960 PCI-e in the bios. restarted and was greeted with black screen a boot 0 message. Removed GTX 960 and went back to integrated graphics and was able to get to Yosemite desktop. So shut down and decide to try the the orginal Sapphire R9 270x 4GB. I put that in restarted with the hdmi cable in the graphics card and Yosemite booted right up. I see many questions on the forums about this working or not working with dual monitors but I plugged in a second monitor to the DVI and 15 seconds later it came on. There is problem with this set up, everytime I boot up with the second monitor DVI cable attached I get two grey screens. Unpluging the DVI cable and tapping the power button brings the single monitor up and then I can plug back in the second monitor and contine to work. Also the rear audio stops working after sleeping. The front panel is fine. I just changed the enery save to have the monitor sleep only and the computer never. I am very happy with my build and recommend using Carbon Copy Cloner, Its nice to save things as you go along so You don't have to go back to square one. I have made a backup to another drive and have successfully booted from that as well.
