Part II - Tremolo blocks and pickguards. US cold rolled steel blocks are true to Fender vintage specs and do make one hell of a difference in how your guitar resonates and how well the overall tremolo unit functions. Single ply pickguards are prone to warping and breaking. Three ply are much more durable. They do make a „three“ ply without the black in the middle too (just as thick as a three ply) if you’re into that clean look (I have one in Creme on a sunburst; looks very cool, but sadly I forgot where I got it).
