Life can be tough, it stops us from being true Comforts can be rough, it affects us too We made our problems into a big excuse For feeling like our life is just not ours to choose We live like a sub-program in a big scheme Of a cycle that’s trapped in our routine We sleep and dream on the couch all day But that’s not the way that life should be played We can change our fate, it’s not so hard to do We can change our friends, our home, and our view Give our couch to our neighbour, clean up the mess And find new comfort, with happiness, love, without distress We can travel far, escape from the noise Forget about our fears, embrace a new joy And spend the rest of our days with the ones we adore Our kids and spouse, forever and more.
