With your control of “syncopation” you can do just this in a confident and smooth way that people will absolutely love. What’s syncopation? It’s the shifting of accents away from their usual places into other interesting places within the 16th note grid which makes up a bar (we’ll play lots with that grid in this course). At first, I’ll give you examples of some of the possible syncopated grooves we can make, after that it’s your turn to create your own!
