Six Salsa Copa Variations
Six Salsa Copa Variations: 1. Wrap Copa/Cuddle Copa 2. Arrow Copa 3. Normal Copa (cross hand, left on top) 4. Wrap Copa with a barrel roll 5. Hammerlock left-left lead Copa 6. Behind-my-back Copa Copa Basics (on 1): Leader has to step back (small step) on 1 to create tension in arm lead, take a big step forward on 2 (not "in place step"), and tap left foot on 3 (not a step), and stop her direction of movement at beat 2.5/3 with a strong connection (contact a bony part of body, not a soft part). At beat 3, follower has turned 1/4 turn left, leader 1/4 turn right, and leader is behind the follower. Leader should be past follower's left shoulder to lead them back to the left by pulling on follower's extended left hand. Follower stops rotation on 3 and taps with left foot, and steps in place with left foot on 5 (won't step back with left foot on 5). Still rotating left, follower goes back to where they came from, with 1.75 left turns.
