J&K cop killed in Srinagar by militants; thousands come out to pay tribute to newly recruited cop

A newly recruited cop was martyred yesterday after terrorists opened fire at him in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir. The incident took place on Sunday afternoon, where the martyred cop was visiting someone in the hospital. After which, two militants opened fire at him and the newly recruited cop succumbed to his injuries. Thousands came out to pay tribute to the martyred cops when his body reached his home late last night in Kupwara. The last rites of the cop will be performed today and it is also being reported that the Jammu & Kashmir police have now identified the militants who opened fire at the cop.
