Friday weirdness: a Twitter API / Google TTS mashup

Years ago I worked with Dragon NaturallySpeaking and ever since have had a fondness for speech recognition and text-to-speech technologies. When I discovered that Google had a little trick you could use to perform text-to-speech on blocks of text up to 100 characters I started wondering what I could do with it. Then it hit me... Tweets. I quickly put together a cohost for a web show who would just blurt out stuff about a topic, more or less at random, to which I would try to respond. Is it funny? Marginally. But I really think with some tweaking of both the host and the technology it could be pretty watchable.
